ok, in continuation with our previous post how to make mp3 from a streaming audio, now let us see how to get mp3 from a protected audio cd’s, for this you need the following softwares.
- apple itunes
- any audio convertor
- do i have to mention you need cd drive?
lets begin:-
- load audio
- open itunes and right click over the disc and import the track, this will keep the tracks in default music folder of your system
- now, open the any audio convertor and select the audio file you need to convert to mp3 and hit convert button
once the conversion progress is over, you are fine to port your mp3 to your favourite players. just dont pirate, lol i have to say that
ever had this situation, your favorite and long searched track is being played in a website sadly there is no further information where to buy, where to search etc, what the track name is, etc… only option i left out with is to record the audio itself, but i am not that desperate to record it with a mic while it is being played in speaker, i required a neat solution. stepvoice gave that solution.
it records the sound being played in the system without a mic or speaker, it supports mp3 format – on the fly, that is saving space.
very neat application, it is not a freeware but comes with trial version. you can download it at: click here

lets say you want to record a audio track from a youtube video
- launch stepvoice application
- select the path where the recording file need to be saved
- open the youtube or where the audio file is being played
- start playing the video with volume on
- start recording in stepvoice
- make sure there is not other sound producing application running
- once done, stop the recording
- verify the recorded file(mostly it is with very good sound quality.)
