Truephone a voip provider for mobile, is giving away free calls to any USA number on thanksgiving day.
You need wifi or 3G enabled cell phone, i have nokia e71, installation is very simple.

Apple iphone wont allow voip calls over 3G?

I’ve nokia s60v3 device(e71), at some point i have thought like i should have buyed apple iphone despite the fact i hate touch screens, for all its glossy apps and all the sync apps for rtm,evernote, twitter… but today after reading gigaom article on apple’s voip functionality, i’m happy i didnt buy apple iphone, i hate too much control.
Apple isnt allowing voip calls over 3G, which prevents nimbuzz, truphone and fring to work, is it working in india for iphone users?

Nokia email-half baked cookie?

I’ve nokia E71, those with smartphones with too many essentials(???) installed will know how manytimes their phone restarts, well my E71 isnt exception, been restarting and hanging up a way lot so i ended up hard resetting with the code *#7370#.
Its time to reinstall all the really essentials, there i tried to install nokia email, i couldnt login to the email account, whenever i try to setup a account it ends up in inbuilt email setup, which i wasnt doing.
Nokia email, really sounds like a half baked cookie to me rite now.

Whats in my nokia e71?

Ok, i factory restored my E71 this weekend, must say i have tried almost all available and reasonably popular apps for em, some are clean install and uninstall, some wouldnt go at all, some went taking away other app as well

will tell you what are those ‘buggy’ E71 apps, for now i kinda settled down for very essentials for me, i have the following:

2. Opera mini
3. Emoze
4. Google maps
5. Gmail
6. Nimbuzz
7. Slick
8. Best Crypto
9. Best ansmachine
10. Best callrecorder
11. Best Dictaphone
12. Mobbler
13. CitiMobile
14. Handy Calendar
15. Gizmo
16. Truphone

Few are freewares and few are paid one’s, but they are worth it, like handy calendar and callrecorder.

Do you know any alternative but free options for callrecorder?
